The club was founded under the auspices of the Berkshire Museum. and named in honor of Ralph Hoffmann a naturalist who was born in Berkshire County. South Shore Bird Club - Brewster The South Shore Bird Club (SSBC) was founded in 1946 by Don West, a Quincy teacher.
